Note from Author: The information provided in this article is based on rumors and leaks about new phones anticipated to release soon. It is not a confirmed information and can change
With the rate at which smartphones are evolving, the year 2022 was a WOW year for new phones. We witnessed many new phones as well as upgrades and new features in our favorite handsets. For example, Apple launched its latest M2 chip and released an update to iOS16. The iPhone acquired satellite connectivity for emergencies and car crash detection, while Google found new methods to employ its proprietary Tensor chip in the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Meanwhile, Samsung refreshed its top Galaxy S series and enhanced its camera.
However, the tech industry never sleeps there is always something new on the horizon. The excitement for the next big thing begins as soon as you see the latest device. We’ve already heard a lot about popular devices like the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and the iPhone 15 line thanks to leaks and rumors, and they undoubtedly rank among the most anticipated new phones of 2023. However, there are other less obvious but no less intriguing upcoming phones from names like Xiaomi, Sony, Oppo, and others.
Here are the new phones we’re most excited to see in 2023
Google upcoming New phones
Google Pixel Fold
Rumors of a folding Google Pixel have circulated since 2019, and Google has yet to confirm that one will be released soon. The most current information on the device reveals that Google is dissatisfied with it and has delayed its release. It’s anticipated as a book-style foldable, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The Google Pixel Fold has been talked about for years, recent news predicted its release in either Q1 2023 or May 2023.
According to current speculations, the Google Pixel Fold will include a 7.6-inch foldable OLED screen, a 5.8-inch cover display, and a Tensor – or, more likely, Tensor G2 – chipset.
There is some debate on the cameras, but one leak suggests a 64MP / 12.2MP / 10MP back camera combination.
For the time being, we would take everything with a grain of salt, but this could be one of the few non-Samsung folding phones worth getting excited about.

Google Pixel 7a & 7a Pro
We surely should get Google Pixel 7a and 7a Pro in 2023, as Amazon is already offering a pre-registration for these handsets. But can we have two versions, a smaller 7a, and a larger 7a plus is a question to be answered by Google
Google A-series Pixel phones offer value for money. The Pixel 6A is a favorite Android phone around under $500. If Google improves the problems like fingerprint scanning, screen auto rotation, dead pixels, etc., while keeping the pricing at the same level. It will be a formidable competitor to Samsung in the inexpensive phone arena.

Google Pixel 8
The Google Pixel 7 was released only in October 2022, but it and the Pixel 7 Pro were so fantastic that we are already looking forward to what Google has in store for the Pixel 8.
So far, we do not know much about this phone. The only information we have is that it will most likely feature a Tensor 3 chipset, support satellite communications, and may have 12GB of RAM. But we anticipate class-leading cameras and overall great software.
Stay tuned for further details, as leaks and rumors should increase in frequency as the phone’s release date approaches.
There have not been many speculations about the upcoming Pixel 8 and 8 Pro so there isn’t much to get excited about it just now. But what interests me the most is what new features Google’s next-generation processor will bring to future phones. Google’s current Tensor chips have enabled applications that appear practical and useful in daily life, such as Magic Eraser and Face Unblur for boosting photo quality, as well as the ability to add speaker labels to transcripts in the Recorder app. That makes us excited to see where Google takes things next.

Google Pixel G10
Another leak about an unknown Google pixel is firing up the chatter on different forums. This unannounced Google Pixel smartphone is supposed to be the Pixel G10, but no one seems to know what it is. It’s reported to have a huge 6.7-inch QuadHD display, similar to the Pixel 7 Pro but we’re not sure.
Now you have a list of Google new smartphones to keep an eye
Apple Upcoming New phones
iPhone 15 Lineup
Even though the iPhone 14 is still a new product launched recently, discussions about the next generation have already begun. Apple has already announced it will switch to USB-C, from Lightning Apple may also change physical buttons to solid-state buttons according to other rumors suggested recently.
The iPhone’s long-awaited switch to USB-C is undoubtedly the most compelling reason to get excited about Apple’s upcoming smartphone. With the transition, iPhone customers can charge their iPhone, iPad, and Mac using the same charging connection, decreasing friction and making the iPhone handier. I am also curious to see if Apple differentiates the iPhone 15 Pro Max from the iPhone 15 Pro. I have advocated that Apple should give their supersized iPhones extra features.
The entire iPhone 15 lineup is highly awaited, but an iPhone 15 Ultra news has excited Apple users.
The iPhone 15 Ultra may replace iPhone 15 Pro Max, including but not limited to a titanium frame, improved cameras, a long-range periscope shooter, a long battery life, and a very high price.
It will not be available until September 2023, if at all, but it is a phone you should start saving for, as the iPhone 15 Ultra could be very expensive.
we expect Apple’s new phones will have exiting new feature to warm up next year

Samsung upcoming New Phones
Samsung Galaxy S23 series
The new models of the Galaxy S23 lineup are due in early 2023. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and its family, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra, are expected to be the most popular new Android phones of 2023. Not much has been written about these phones, but we heard a rumor that Samsung is abandoning its current Exynos processors and will replace them with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs globally. We also expect that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could get a 200MP camera to improve night photography.
If history repeats itself, then Samsung should release these phones in January/February 2023.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
According to the leaks, with a powerful Snapdragon 8, Gen 2 chipset, and cameras like the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is likely to be Samsung’s next foldable flagship. But it will not be available until August 2023, so there is still time.
Because Samsung is marketing the Z Fold 5 as a productivity gadget, adding an inbuilt S Pen seems like a natural option. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Fold 3 are both S Pen-compatible but must be purchased separately.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 should have a built-in S Pen to bring this foldable handset into the mainstream. It can also help the model define its target market and help in brand positioning.
If nothing else, we at least anticipate it to be pricy and have a large folding screen to use as a tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
We also expect Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 to be along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has an appealing design! It should be the better seller of the two.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 folding phone is expected to have a 3.3 or 3.4-inch cover screen (larger than Galaxy Z Flip 4) and a less noticeable crease than the current model.
The cover screen is the first place where Samsung should improve. And longer battery life can be another improvement for the Z Flip 5.
Samsung will have to work hard to maintain its lead in the foldable market while competing with Oppo and Motorola.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G
While Samsung’s flagship handsets are Galaxy S Series, its Galaxy A line is worth looking into for users on a smaller budget.
Galaxy A53 5G was released earlier this year, and we expect we will get a new model of this phone that can be Galaxy A54 5G.
According to the limited rumors leaked so far! the Galaxy A54 5G will be a slightly upgraded version of the A53 5G. It will have a triple rear camera and a smaller 6.4-inch screen than the A53’s 6.5-inch screen. There is some chatter on the forums that Galaxy A54 5G will have a larger battery than A53 5G
The Galaxy A53 5G is not flawless, but it is a well-priced product in the affordable phone range. Samsung should improve its budgeted phone range, even more, to compete with Google’s Pixel A series.
Samsung’s upcoming new phones should be on watch list of any android lover

Oppo Upcoming New Phones
Oppo Dragonfly
According to rumors, Oppo is working on a new clamshell handset to compete with other flip handsets, especially the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The name of this new flip model is guessed to be Dragonfly, but there is no confirmed information or specs available at this point.
However, according to a few rumors, its design will be inspired by other clamshells. When closed, it should be palm-sized before flipping open to expose a tall, slim, and flexible main display.
We expect it to have the latest Qualcomm chipset and a 120Hz refresh rate on the screen. And, if the Find N is any indication, it should be reasonably priced compared to Samsung’s folding devices. It is expected to come before the end of the year, alongside the Find N2.
Oppo Find X6 Pro
With a large circular camera in the middle of the back and offering four matte pastel colors, the Oppo Find X6 Pro is expected to be released towards the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. It will be one of the first phones to use the Snapdragon 8 gen 1st platform. But all the information about the design is mocked up based on leaks and rumors.
Oppo Find N2
The Oppo Find N is one of our favorite foldable to date and would be if it was accessible outside of China. It is a great, compact book-style folding phone, and Oppo reportedly is planning a follow-up Oppo Find N2 soon. It expects to include the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a vegan leather back, and it will run the Android 13-based ColorOS 13.
Oppo can be a budget option for android users looking for new phones but it will depend what prices strategy Oppo follows this year

Xiaomi Upcoming Phones
Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro
According to newly leaked renders, Xiaomi’s next numbered series of flagship phones will take a different path. The camera unit still has the narrow lines separating the three lenses, but the enclosure is squarer than the current 12-series devices. Rumors imply three 50MP cameras on the back, but we are a long way from the actual debut, planned for Spring 2023, so those rumors could be wrong.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has been launched in china already, with a global release scheduled for early 2023.
This device features a 6.73-inch 1440 x 3200 OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 4,820mAh battery with 120W cable charging and 50W wireless charging, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, and up to 12GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro also features water resistance and a quality style. However, the most interesting aspect of the device is its cameras, which include a 50MP f/1.9 primary camera with a large 1-inch sensor, which should allow it to shoot better photos than other phones.
It also sports a 50MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. If that is not enough, there is even talk of an even more capable Xiaomi 13 Ultra, but we have not heard anything about it yet.

Redmi Note 12 series
A mid-range Redmi Note successor is also on the way from Xiaomi. With the Redmi 10 (2022) and Note 11T Pro launching this year. The Redmi’s lineup is not the easiest to grasp. However, we have yet to see a meaningful follow-up to the Note 11. It can be late due to the time taking deployment of its predecessor, which arrived in China in October 2021 but did not reach the rest of the world until 2022.
According to Twitter filings, at least two Note 12 handsets will launch with 6.6in FHD+ panels. Each one is expected to be 8.8mm thick, a change from the previous generation’s 8.1mm depth. The same information suggests that the Note 12 will have a 4300mAh battery, with a larger 4980mAh cell inside the Note 12 Pro. Both of which would be smaller than those utilized by their forefathers. According to other sources, the devices will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.
Some analysts predict that three varieties of the Redmi Note 12 will be available in China, with a Note 12 Pro Plus possibly designated for the region. It’s yet not confirmed when they will arrive, how much they will cost, and where they will be available.
Let us hope that Xiaomi launches it’s new smartphones globally without any delay
OnePlus Upcoming Phones
OnePlus Nord 3 5G
OnePlus has released some new models this year, but we have not received a well talked rumored OnePlus Nord 3 5G so far. So, we expect it will be released in 2023. We got the Nord 2T in May earlier this year and it is a promising mid-level update, followed by the OnePlus 10T in August. With the updates we got in these models we anticipate that OnePlus Nord 3 5G should be a new phone to watch for.
Though there is no actual evidence about this handset. However, some sources are very optimistic OnePlus Nord 3 5G appearing in 2023. This new model can have some gadgets like smartwatches and fitness bands alongside.
Not sure if it will materialize, but if does there will not be any major design changes, though we expect an improved camera performance in dim light and a better battery to support this feature-rich phone.

OnePlus 11
The OnePlus 11 is expected to release in early 2023. The reports indicate it will not be joined by its Pro version. OnePlus 11 itself will have features of the OnePlus 11 Pro. As OnePlus is hoping to complete with Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra with a single model
According to leaks, the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging, a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
In recent years, OnePlus pricing has crept closer to the competitors it seeks to undercut. OnePlus, on the other hand, has a reputation for delivering cheaply priced devices with high-end capabilities like speedy charging. However, a disappointing camera and limitations like a lack of 80-watt charging in the US prevented it from being as fantastic as it may have been. OnePlus should address these criticisms in its next-generation device, hopefully.
OnePlus 11 Pro
Despite rumors that in 2023 OnePlus will not launch the Pro version of Oneplus 11, there is some news that we will get the OnePlus 11 Pro. According to leaks and rumors we have so far, OnePlus is planning a dramatic overhaul for the OnePlus 11 Pro. The camera unit appears to be a large circle on the back of the phone, rather than the square module found on contemporary phones. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 16GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 100W charging are all predicted. According to rumors, it will be released in the first quarter of 2023. But we do not have any confirmed news about it.
Whether OnePlus releases OnePlus 11 Pro or not it is a brand to keep an eye for new smartphones

Motorola Upcoming Phones
Motorola Razr(s) 2023
According to the rumors, Motorola has plans to release two Razr phone models in 2023, the design or specs of the phone are unconfirmed yet. However, one of them should be comparable to the present clamshells.
And the second can be a larger-screened folding similar to the Galaxy Z Fold, or it can have a rollable prototype display.

Moto X40
Motorola is now looking ahead to the next generation of the Motorola X30 (Edge 30 globally) series. The X40 has already leaked on social media. It will be one of the first phones to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors.
Lets see what Motorola has to offer in its new phones
Huawei upcoming New Phones
Huawei P60 Pro
With high-megapixel cameras, the Huawei P50 Pro is a photography powerhouse. A periscope lens offers a 200x digital zoom. Due to trade restrictions, Huawei could not launch this flagship phone in the US timely.
The Huawei P60 Pro and Pro Plus were due in late 2022, But they have not come out yet, so we believe we will get these models in 2023. Most likely, the P60 Pro will have a powerful camera kit and a sizable full screen. But detailed specs and release date of the P60 Pro family is unknown.

Huawei Mate X3
Following the release of the outward-folding Mate XS 2 in the summer of 2022, Huawei’s inward-folding Mate X3 is the next predicted handset. The target date was December 2022, but it has not been publicly announced yet. It will, however, be thinner and more robust than its predecessor.
We hope Huawei will be able to launch its new phones in the US without any delay
More Upcoming New smartphones
Sony Xperia I V
Thanks to a camera with continuous optical zoom, the Sony Xperia I IV was one of the most intriguing phones of 2022. It is a feature not found in other brands, and it helped Sony’s flagship stand out.
So far, we have not heard much about the Xperia 1 V, but we expect it toward the mid of 2023. And we predict the flagship handset will have innovative cameras, a beautiful screen, and more innovative features in the new phone
Lets wait for Sony’s new smartphone to what it has to offer

Nokia 10 PureView
Nokia 9 PureView release was in 2019, and since then, we are hearing about an upgrade to the model. But so far, we are uncertain about a successor of the model.
A PureView sequel would almost surely include a slew of sophisticated camera tech.
Though we do not have actual specs of the Nokia 10 PureView, powerful processors, four cameras, and large batteries are the subjects of rumors on the internet. According to unofficial news, the long wait is because of finding a suitable chip. But it is a guess. Whether it is true or not, we do not know.

The Summary
Some of the most significant enhancements we expect to see on new smartphones in 2023 appear to be improvements to the battery and charging experience. And camera + design changes. We will learn more as Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, and Google all keep releasing new phones throughout the year.
